The inner lives of markets : how people shape them

Why I looked at this book
Markets are a central part of the study of economics, and the claims for the efficiency of markets are often made. But how similar are the markets which occur in the real world to the abstract entities which are postulated in economics? I'm looking to this bookto give me a better understanding of the similarities and differences between the abstract idea of a market and its real world instances. I hope this will lead to a better understanding of the problems of economics, such as the way it struggles to give the reason for unemployment which is very visible in the real world.
